Pink Pages

I've been recently going through some tough struggles in my family.  Health struggles involving a loved one.  Maybe some day I will write about them.  At the moment, it's a bit too raw.

For now, I will share some things that have been encouraging me lately:

  • Freshly bought tulips that I picked up for myself at my local store.
  • Sketchbook pages that I painted with pink gouache.  I've been playing with this new medium lately, and I like how gouache dries with a matte finish.

The words are from 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

All of the physical stuff here is so fleeting.  I am thankful for moments that remind me of what truly matters in this world.

Wishing you a peaceful week.
