It's Valentine's Day this weekend. As much of a romantic as I am, I actually really don't like Valentine's Day. Seems too commercialized for me... too exclusive to those who don't have a partner. Never liked it.
However, the upcoming holiday still got me thinking about love.... The get-your-hands-dirty kind of love that takes you out of your comfort zone. Reaches far beyond chocolates and Hallmark cards. The love that pulls you through difficult times and pushes you to be a better person.
Here's the prompt:
I am thankful for the people who've shown this real kind of love to me.
My savior, my husband, my family, my grandfather, my friends.
I am extraordinarily blessed because of them.
*** Also, a life-changing and eye-opening book, if you have a chance to check it out: The 5 Love Languages, by Gary Chapman. My husband and I both share Physical Touch as our Love Language. :)
How about you? What's your love language? For whom are you thankful for showing *true* love to you? Maybe it's self-love. How are you thankful for different "love languages"?

And Happy Valentine's Day. From me to you!
